Phil Hagen started his career at KPMG Management Consulting, providing Business Process Redesign consulting services to blue chip organisations. In this role he worked with several process management technologies, including FileNet.

Phil then joined FileNet as a Project Manager, overseeing the largest implementations of FileNet’s Enterprise Content Management solution that had occurred in the UK at that time.

In 1997 Phil left FileNet and founded Oceanus with 2 other Directors. Initially as Operations Director, Phil built the service delivery and product design and development capabilities of Oceanus before moving into the Sales Director role and building the company’s revenue, devising and managing marketing campaigns and lead generation activity, leading the full sales cycle, developing ROI models and negotiating the commercial and contractual terms. Oceanus became the premier UK IBM ECM partner during this period.

In 2010, Phil left Oceanus and with John Sutton and Mark Tamburro founded Insight 2 Value at the start of 2011.

John has nearly 20 years of experience of designing, building, configuring and implementing Enterprise Content and Business Process Management solutions, primarily in Financial Services, Telecoms and Government sectors.

He started his career working as a developer for IMI computing, a FileNet partner, and was immediately thrown in at the deep end being tasked with the design and build of core solutions using the latest ECM technologies.

It was his expertise in FileNet’s workflow toolset that enabled John to go and work in South Africa as a FileNet Workflow Consultant in 1996. As part of this work, John started to undertake a more project and programme management based role.

In late 1997, John returned to the UK and joined Oceanus in January 1998 as a project manager and ECM consultant within the Operations Department. John worked on numerous projects and progressed through the ranks of Oceanus undertaking roles in Pre-sales, Account Management and Solution Development and Implementation. John was a key member of the product design team responsible for the development of the Case Management Solution (CMS) where he was instrumental in introducing many of the key features and functions.

The extensive Case Management design experience provided the opportunity to work with IBM on the design of their Advanced Case Management solution as part of the partner and customer feedback programme.

In 2008 John was appointed Operations Director. Within this role he oversaw the continued development of the Oceanus product set as well as maintaining the responsibility for the account management of the company’s principal accounts ie Bank of New York Mellon and Telefónica O2.

In 2010, John left Oceanus and along with Phil Hagen and Mark Tamburro founded Insight 2 Value at the start of 2011.

Mark has over 25 years of Global Corporate Real Estate experience and held senior positions at Microsoft, Nokia, Dell and most recently at GlaxoSmithKline where he was Senior Vice President of Worldwide Real Estate & Facilities.

In his various roles Mark has been responsible for a variety of activities including developing real estate strategy, implementing new ways of working, driving sustainable and cost effective real estate solutions, implementing global service provider partnerships and using technology in new and innovative ways to enhance productivity in the workplace. During his career, Mark has also overseen the delivery of numerous and various sized real estate projects in over 80 different countries with a combined total value in excess if £2 Billion.

Whilst at Nokia Mark was also responsible for implementing a global IWMS (Integrated Workplace Management System) based on a Tririga platform. This technology was the first real estate asset management and environmental solution to be deployed globally by an Enterprise and helped to deliver significant costs savings and a reduction in energy consumption. In 2009 Mark was appointed Chairman of the Board of CoreNet Global and was the first non US Chairman to be appointed to this position. CoreNet Global is the world’s leading association for corporate real estate (CRE) and workplace professionals, service providers and economic developers and has nearly 7,000 members, who include 70% of the Fortune 100 and nearly half of the Forbes Global 2000. Mark was also recognised by the leading UK property publication ‘Property Week’ as being a property ‘guru’ (whatever that means!) and left GlaxoSmithKline in early 2011 to become Chairman of Insight2Value.

Dave has been involved in ECM/BPM space for over 20 years and has a unique perspective on the challenges within this area, having worked as a customer, for a major ECM vendor and several ECM business partners.

He has a proven track record of providing architecture, design, technical pre-sales, project management, development, implementation and support expertise to a broad range of technical and business environments utilising ECM, BPM, Advanced Case Management and their associated technologies. He is experienced in large-scale projects with multi-vendor participation and has proven himself to be extremely capable in communicating, planning and implementing specialist technical solutions across all levels of business and IT.

Dave started his ECM career as an Analyst/Programmer and System Administrator with BT Mobile (now O2) who at the time were only the 3rd customer in the UK to adopt FileNet technology.

From there he expanded his knowledge as a System Consultant with iiCon before working for FileNet as a Technical Consultant covering the North of England and Ireland.

In 1997 Dave joined Oceanus and was involved in Customer Support, Operations, Pre-Sales and Technical Services during his time with the company, becoming Technical Services Director in 2008. As the architect of Oceanus Case Management Solutions he was able to draw upon all of his experience to design products that scaled to thousands of users in different geographies, whilst having the ability to be implemented in 6 – 12 weeks. The norm in the industry at that time was typically 12- 18 months.

In 2011 Dave joined Insight 2 Value as part of their vastly experienced ECM and Advanced Case Management team.

Outside of work Dave has a wife and three children and is an avid Leeds United fan.
